OK... Looks like we've got everything sealed, including ourselves... *sigh*... which is quite... terrifying.

I'm still trying to process what the heck is happening—and what that is...

We swept the area, but still couldn’t find any sign of it. Maybe it doesn’t want to be seen anymore. Maybe it went back into the rift, or... maybe... we weren’t fast enough with the containment, and whatever it is... *sigh*... got loose.

Either way, we’ve placed a few traps to try to catch it, assuming it can be caught by any of our current technology…

At this point, I don’t believe sealing the rift again will be of any use. Whatever was in there managed to get through the reinforced door like a hot knife through butter... Unless we find a way to deactivate whatever is powering the rift, sealing it doesn’t seem to have any practical effect.

What bothers me the most is that all evidence suggests this isn’t the first time the Rift has been opened.

I mean, the stone portal is here for a reason, so it makes sense that it was opened before—at some point in the past… or the future.

If this was opened at any point in documented history, there should be some sort of record of it.
